HOPS held its annual Awards evening and AGM on November 11th

We were delighted the Stowmarket Town Mayor Councillor Barry Salmon and his wife Councillor Heather Salmon could join us on this evening of celebration.

The Mayor presented all the certificates to the volunteers who had help with the HOPS scheme during the school holidays, a total of 2756 hours of volunteering had been given by HOPS volunteers in the past year.

The Mayor  presented awards to Ellie Fawkner , for most promising new volunteer, Amy Rowe, for most outstanding returning volunteer and Emily Armstrong, for the Sue Woolmer award for over coming adversity.

Councillor Salmon said that the young people who gave up their free time to volunteer at HOPS should be commended for all their hard work, and that it showed that young people were committed to giving something back to their communities. He said it was a pleasure for him to present the awards and certificates.
