On a very cold, muddy and damp day HOPS volunteers supported by Staff and Trustees spent the day at Combat paint balling in Thetford Forest.

As you can see from the pictures below everyone was very excited to be going paintballing, many of them for the first time.

The day went well and may volunteers were covered in mud and paint and few lost shoes in the muddy ground, these where soon retrieved.

There seems to be some confusion over which of the teams won over all on the day.

It was great to see young people enjoying themselves and many communicating with those they hardly look at let alone chat to during a HOPS day.

“HOPS teenage volunteers give over 4500 hours a year supporting children and young people with severe disabilities, its great to be able to recognise they contribution the give to those less fortunate” said Michael Powley Vice Chair of HOPS.

This team building day was made possible from funding through Suffolk Community Foundation and the Youth Social Action Fund.
